Tatiana Celia Kennedy Schlossberg, granddaughter of former U.S. President John F. Kennedy and daughter of Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg, died on December 30, 2025, at the age of 35 after a courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia. Her family announced her passing through a statement posted by the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation.

Schlossberg was an accomplished environmental journalist and author, having written for major publications and worked as a climate reporter. She publicly disclosed her terminal diagnosis in a deeply personal essay published in The New Yorker in November 2025, describing how her illness was discovered shortly after giving birth to her second child in May 2024. Her doctors told her the disease was aggressive and that she might have limited time to live.

Throughout her treatment, Schlossberg underwent rounds of chemotherapy and other therapies. Her writing during that period touched many readers with its honesty, strength, and reflections on life, family, and mortality.

She is survived by her husband, George Moran, and their two young children. Members of her extended family and close friends have shared tributes remembering her warmth, intelligence, and devotion to her work and loved ones. Family statements emphasized that her spirit, courage, and kindness will be remembered.
