Police say a woman is accused of killing her boyfriend following a disturbing situation involving her 11-year-old female relative. Officers were called to a party at a home on Atlas Way around 1:30 a.m. after reports of a confrontation. By the time authorities arrived, the man had already fled the scene on foot.

The victim, identified as 45-year-old Jose Humberto Alvarado, was later discovered unresponsive on a nearby sidewalk. Investigators say there was a visible blood trail leading away from the residence, and preliminary findings indicate he died from stab wounds sustained after leaving the home.

Authorities believe a confrontation took place outside the residence prior to his death. The woman was later taken into custody as detectives continue gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.

The investigation remains ongoing.
