A Fall That Changed Everything — And a Will to Live That Didn’t Break 🏗️💔

In 2019, 19-year-old Loren Schauers from Montana was working on a construction site when he fell nearly 50 feet from a bridge along with a forklift. The machine, weighing several tons, crushed his lower body and right arm in the accident.
Doctors determined that the only way to save him was an extremely rare and complex surgery called a hemicorpectomy — removing everything below his waist. He was given a devastating choice: undergo the procedure or face certain death.

Loren’s response was simple and powerful: “I want to live.” 🤍

The surgery was successful. Loren survived, losing the lower half of his body and his right arm — but not his determination. 💪

By his side through it all has been Sabiya, now his wife, who has supported him with unwavering love and care ❤️. Together, they now share their journey online, inspiring others with their resilience and honesty. 🌟
