Wesley Woods was battling a degenerative disease, all while constantly worrying about his wife. Melodie Woods was facing stage 4 cancer and endured a devastating surgery that removed nearly half of her tongue — the only way to save her life.

Just a week ago, Melodie was discharged from the hospital. Instead of going home to rest, she went straight to another hospital to see Wesley, who had gone into respiratory failure.

Two days later, she held his hand as he took his final breath. 🤍
