📰🚨 Iran Confirms Deaths of Chief of General Staff and Defense Minister

Iranian state news agency IRNA reported that Major General Abdul Rahim Mousavi, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh were killed in U.S.–Israeli airstrikes on February 28. IRNA added that other senior military commanders also died, with their identities to be announced later.

The strikes were part of a broader operation launched by the United States and Israel targeting Iran’s political and military leadership, citing concerns over Tehran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs. Iranian authorities previously confirmed the deaths of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, National Security Council head Ali Shamkhani, and IRGC commander Mohammad Pakpour.

Iran responded with waves of ballistic missiles and drones targeting Israel and U.S. bases across the Middle East. Reports indicate over 200 fatalities in Iran and at least one in Israel, as exchanges of strikes continue.

⚠️ The situation remains highly volatile, with both sides carrying out further attacks amid rising regional tensions.
