Six-year-old formerly conjoined twins, Abby and Erin Delaney, who were once joined at the head (craniopagus), have achieved an emotional milestone: they have officially graduated from kindergarten.

The Complex Separation Journey

The girls’ lives began with an immense medical hurdle. They underwent a complex and lengthy separation surgery at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) when they were infants. The successful operation gave the sisters the chance at independent lives. Their ability to attend school, make friends, and now graduate from kindergarten is a testament to the surgical success and their own fierce resilience.

For their parents, the kindergarten graduation was an unforgettable moment. Their mother shared: “Watching them graduate, it was like we were dreaming.
