After living with neuroblastoma for most of her young life, 9-year-old Brielle “Brie” Bird has passed away, leaving behind a legacy of courage, faith, and love. Alongside her family, Brie shared her journey online through @briestrongerthancancer, inspiring people around the world.

Her family announced her passing with a heartfelt message, saying Brie fulfilled her purpose and was escorted home with love. They shared that her life helped bring others closer to faith and reminded the world of goodness. Though their hearts are broken, they promised to keep her story alive and said her room would always be ready, just as she left it.

Brie’s journey began in 2020 when she was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma. Doctors found an 8-centimeter tumor in her abdomen, along with cancer that had spread to her spine. After intense treatment, the family celebrated when Brie became cancer-free. That relief was temporary, as the cancer returned in January 2024, a moment her mother shared with deep sorrow.

By July 2025, Brie entered hospice care. Her mother later shared a powerful moment when Brie asked if she could stay home instead of continuing hospital visits. She spoke honestly about her pain and fear. Her family respected her voice, choosing comfort and peace over more suffering.

Even during this difficult time, Brie’s days were filled with love. One of the most special moments came when Ariana Grande surprised her with a thoughtful gift package inspired by Wicked. Inside were Squishmallows, beauty items, and a video message. Ariana praised Brie as an inspiring light and sent her endless love and hugs, a moment that brought joy to Brie and her family.
