He Waited đź””

He could have rung the bell.
The moment was his — victory within reach.
But he chose to wait.

He said God wasn’t done yet 🙏.

He finished chemo before I did.
They told him he could ring the bell.
He said no — he said he’d wait for me.

I was 15.
We were scared kids pretending we weren’t — trading bad jokes, sharing snacks, walking the same long hospital hallways where hope and fear lived side by side.

When my last treatment finally came, he showed up.
He took my hand.
And we rang the bell together.

Ten years later, we stood side by side again — this time in wedding clothes 🤍💍.
No IV poles. No beeping machines.
Just love, promises, and a future we once weren’t sure we’d have.

Cancer introduced us.
Love stayed.

If this touched your heart, leave a ❤️ or a quiet prayer 🙏 for someone still fighting.
