A Walk for Peace, A Lesson in Acceptance 🕊️

Venerable Phra Ajarnh Maha Dam Phommasan was walking 2,300 miles for peace — from Texas to Washington, D.C. — when he was struck by a car near Houston. 🚗
The pilgrimage meant to spread compassion instead left him with injuries so severe that doctors had to amputate his leg. 💔
Yet the day after leaving the hospital, Maha Dam said he had already accepted the loss — not as something taken, but as something given for peace. 🙏
As abbot of Wat Lao Buddha Khanti in Snellville, he may no longer continue the journey physically, but fellow monks say he walks with them in spirit.
For him, the journey was never about distance. It was about presence, compassion, and choosing peace even in pain. ✨
