The 17-year-old reportedly joined a group of revellers who climbed onto a stationary truck to celebrate their team qualifying for the semi-finals.
But she fell to her death when the lorry began to move, at 12.30am.
It has since emerged that her boyfriend watched the whole horror ordeal unfold.
A police spokesperson said: “She had climbed on to the side of a lorry, along with others, but fell on to the road.
“The teenager was then crushed by the same vehicle.
“Attempts were made to revive her, but she was declared dead at the scene soon after midnight.”
According to French media outlet Le Parisien, the driver “brought several people onto his truck to show off.”
The 45-year-old was charged on Saturday with aggravated manslaughter due to driving under the influence of alcohol.

Three other people who witnessed the tragedy were hospitalised and treated for “minor injuries and extreme shock”.
Prosecutors said he has also been charged with failing to provide assistance to the victim.
Auphélie’s mother, Laurence, has been left devastated by the tragedy.
In a heartbreaking post on social media she wrote: “My darling, I miss you so much, my angel.”
Auphélie, from Jeumont in northern France, attended the celebrations with her boyfriend Lorenzo.
The pair had been in a relationship for several months and had hoped to move in together later this year.
Lorenzo’s uncle told the outlet: “It was my sister who alerted me at 4 a.m… It’s truly a tragedy.
“My nephew saw everything, he’s devastated. Auphélie’s father doesn’t understand what happened to her.
“At her age, you can’t just leave like that, it’s impossible.”
More than 200,000 cops were deployed across France on Friday – in one of the largest clampdowns on football-related riots in recent history.
Cops feared a repeat of the violence seen across Paris after Paris St Germain beat Arsenal in the final of the European Champions League in late May – leading to 890 arrests.
But just ten people were arrested in Paris and “even less” in the other parts of the country.
Police said: “It was a highly successful operation, and the vast majority of supporters celebrated peacefully.”
