Lawyer slams Ryanair crew who ‘didn’t offer man water’ after his head was sucked out plane’s window

RYANAIR crew members did not even offer a man water after he was sucked through a shattered cabin window at 20,000ft, the victim’s lawyer claimed.
Ljubiša Karović‘s head and arm were left dangling out of the stricken jet and exposed to freezing 370mph winds for several minutes.

Svetlana Grkovic, right, held on to her husband, Ljubisa Karovic, for dear life after he was sucked through a plane window

The cabin window was shattered by broken pieces of jet engine while the plane was cruising at 20,000ft
His heroic wife, Svetlana, clung on to the 61-year-old for dear life as he passed in and out of consciousness, saying that she thought at the time: “If we die, we die together”.
Another brave bystander helped tug Ljubiša back through the smashed window before he could be pulled from the plane.
In the aftermath, terrified passengers attempted to plug the gaping hole with a piece of luggage, but it was swiftly sucked from the plane.
A sturdier suitcase eventually did the trick.

Ryanair crew members allegedly did not offer help and have not contacted the couple since the horror ordeal

Svetlana said she worried the plane would crash
But Ljubiša was left badly hurt with friction burns and serious injuries all over his body.
Despite pleas from Svetlana and other passengers, crew members are said to have denied repeated requests to bring him water and did nothing to help.
Businessman Ljubiša remains in hospital, where he is recovering from his wounds and a severe case of shock.
The Serbian couple’s lawyer, Vasilis Tsiaras, slammed the airline for failing to reach out to their shaken clients.

Oxygen masks dropped and many thought the plane would crash in the chaos
He told The Sun: “They didn’t say anything. They show no remorse.”
Ryanair did not provide a comment when approached by The Sun.
Svetlana praised the heroic intervention of a man and woman who helped hold on to her husband on last Friday’s flight from Thessaloniki, Greece to Memmingen, Germany.
She said: “That man helped me a lot. I would like to meet him, to thank him personally.”
Reliving the nightmare ordeal, Svetlana told Greek channel ERT: “I was scared that the plane would crash.
“My husband has serious injuries. He’s wearing a neck brace and at the very mention of planes he shakes.
“I’m also in a very bad psychological state and am taking sedatives. I was scared that people’s lives would be lost.”
Aside from the friction burns, the incident has left Ljubiša with psychological obstacles.
The 61-year-old sells and rents flats in the Greek resorts of Paralija and Olympic Beach, which means he needs to fly frequently for business.
But the experience has left him “extremely scared” of flying, said Vasilis.
Shocking footage showed the aftermath of the chaos – with oxygen masks seen hanging down and a gaping hole where one of the windows once was.
The plane was able to perform an emergency landing at Thessaloniki, where the pilot was left crying on the tarmac.
The doomed plane has been taken to a hangar at Thessaloniki airport for examination.
Aviation experts are now probing how a piece of the jet’s engine was able to dislodge and shatter the window.
Vasilis told BILD: “Ryanair’s claim that the window simply came loose is untrue. Experts have already determined that a broken engine part was hurled from the turbine against the cabin window and destroyed it.”
