Stranger stabs group waiting for table at NYC Applebee’s near Times Square: sources

Three men were attacked by a blade-wielding stranger as they waited for a table outside the Applebee’s near Times Square late Tuesday, cops and sources said.

The victims – 24, 26 and an unidentified man – were waiting for a table outside the chain restaurant on West 50th Street near Seventh Avenue around 10:30 p.m. when the suspect approached and started arguing with one of them, according to police and law enforcement sources.

The younger man suffered a stab wound to the torso and a cut on his leg, the older victim had cuts on both of his hands and left leg and the unidentified man was also slashed on his left leg, according to police.

The NYPD investigating a series of stabbings in Manhattan on Tuesday night.

NEW YORK, July 21, 2026 Police investigate the scene after a man was reportedly stabbed in the torso and suffered lacerations to a leg near Seventh Avenue and West 50th.

All three were taken by EMS to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition, cops said.

The alleged attacker, Breshan Watson, 24, of The Bronx, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault, two counts of menacing and two counts of possession of a deadly weapon, police said.

It was not immediately clear what sparked the dispute.
