A TWISTED 16-year-old school shooter callously laughed at a nervous survivor during her victim impact statement as she recalled the day he gunned down four people.

Colt Gray pleaded guilty in court on Friday to murdering four people and injuring nine others, two years after the attack at Apalachee High School in Barrow County, Georgia, about 47 miles northeast of Atlanta.

Gray was 14 years old when he stormed inside his algebra classroom with a rifle and fired about 15 shots, killing students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14, and teachers Cristina Irimie, 52, and Richard Aspinwall, 39.

During Friday’s sentencing hearing, Gray let out a twisted grin and laughed as a survivor read out her victim impact statement in court.

Natalie Griffith recounted the September 4, 2024, shooting, which left her unable to use her left hand.

Griffith was among the nine people that survived their injuries from the horrific shooting.

At one point during her statement to the court, Griffith appeared to get overwhelmed and began to speed through her testimony.

As Griffith was rattling on, the judge appeared to advise her to slow down, to which the victim responded, “I’m sorry.”

During the exchange, Gray was seen laughing as he sat between his defense attorneys.

The courtroom also burst into laughter before Griffith continued her statement.

“I got shot twice, once in my wrist and once in my upper arm,” she said on the stand.

“I lost the ability to use my left hand, but on some days it doesn’t feel like that is the biggest thing I lost.

“After the shooting, I lost my independence. I could not put on my own clothes or do my own hair, things that were easy for me became a challenge.”

Griffith admitted that loud sounds trigger panic attacks, saying, “My mind immediately goes to the worst possible scenario.

“I wonder if there’s a gun. I wonder if I need to run. I’m so very afraid of loud sounds. And I start to panic when I hear them.

“Some days when I think about the shooting it feels like he killed me even though I lived. The part of me that trusted people died.”

The shooting at Apalachee High School left nine others injured

Breanna Schermerhorn told the court about waking every day to the reality that her 14-year-old son is dead.

“I do not forgive, Mr. Gray,” Schermerhorn, the mother of Mason, said.

“He took away every birthday we would have celebrated, every holiday, every graduation, every milestone, every hug.”

The courtroom heard a chilling interview Gray had with an investigator shortly after the shooting, where he’s heard gushing about his obsession with Nikolas Cruz, the Parkland school shooter in 2018.

“I became obsessed with him on an emotional level because I understood some of the stuff he came through,” Gray is heard saying.

“He shot up his school, but on an emotional level I could understand the trauma and stuff that he went through.”

Gray told investigators that about a week and a half before the shooting he created a Securus messaging account to send a message to Cruz.

In the message, Gray said he introduced himself to Cruz and sent a follow up message to get him to respond.

However, Gray said Cruz never responded.

Gray’s father, Colin Gray, was charged in connection with the mass shooting committed by his son.

Prosecutors said Colin, now 55, boasted about gifting his son an AR-15 rifle for Christmas and was captured on audio being proud of Gray for his first kill with a hunting rifle.

“We do a lot of shooting, we do a lot of deer hunting,” Colin is heard saying.

“He actually shot his first deer this year.”

The distant dad ignored now-horrifying red flags, including a shrine in Colt’s room to shooter Cruz, who killed 14 students and three staff members at a Florida high school, prosecutors said.

Gray used the gun his father gifted him in the 2024 school shooting.

A jury convicted Colin in March of second-degree murder and 26 other charges.

He joined a growing list of parents who have been thrown behind bars over fatal shootings carried out by their children.

A judge is expected to impose Gray’s sentencing on Friday.

He faces a minimum sentence of life in prison after pleading guilty to 55 felony counts.
