Alexa Bliss and Randy Orton Make WWE Ring Returns in Double Comeback

WWE fans got a double dose of star power this week as Alexa Bliss and Randy Orton both made their returns to the ring at a live event.
Bliss and Orton were back in action Thursday night, Aug. 13, marking another important step in their respective WWE comebacks.
Bliss teamed up with Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton to take on Fatal Influence members Lainey Reid, Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley.
The trio picked up the victory, but Bliss’ appearance came with one noticeable detail — her arm was still wrapped.
The injury had kept Bliss from competing at full strength, making her return to an actual match a significant development for the former WWE Women’s Champion.

And she wasn’t the only major name stepping back between the ropes.
Randy Orton also returned to in-ring action that night, going head-to-head with Cody Rhodes in a street fight in the main event.
It was Orton’s first match since WrestleMania 42, where he suffered a loss to Rhodes.
The Viper had already made his presence felt in a big way at WWE SummerSlam.
Orton returned to television at the event and played a major role in the Undisputed WWE Championship picture by costing Rhodes the title match against CM Punk.

Now, his latest live-event appearance suggests that Orton is ready to become a major player in WWE’s next chapter.
For Bliss, meanwhile, the return comes as another encouraging sign after her recent injury concerns.
The former champion has been gradually working her way back into WWE action, and stepping into the ring alongside Flair and Stratton could signal that a bigger role is on the horizon.

Neither comeback came quietly.
With Bliss continuing to recover and Orton reigniting his feud with Rhodes, WWE suddenly has two familiar superstars back in the mix — and both could have plenty to say when the action moves back to weekly television.
The Viper is back.

And Little Miss Bliss is back, too.
WWE fans may want to buckle up.
