Florida Woman Arrested After Husband Reports Alleged Animal Abuse Involving Family Dog

Florida Woman Faces Charges After Husband Allegedly Discovers Disturbing Footage
A 38-year-old Florida woman has been arrested after her husband allegedly discovered disturbing footage involving the family dog, according to authorities.

Malia Nummerdor, 38, was charged this week with engaging in prohibited sexual contact with an animal after her husband reportedly provided police with video evidence of the alleged incident.
The case was reported by Gulf Coast News and is being investigated by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
Husband Reportedly Discovers Footage on Security Camera
According to the arrest report, Nummerdor’s husband had installed two security cameras inside their home while attempting to identify someone allegedly taking money from a coin jar.
The husband reportedly told investigators that everyone in the household knew about the cameras. While reviewing footage recorded by a bedroom camera, he allegedly discovered evidence involving Nummerdor and the family dog.
He later showed investigators images from the recording and provided access to a laptop containing the footage.
Woman Denies Allegations During Police Interview
Police interviewed Nummerdor on Tuesday. During the interview, she reportedly acknowledged that the footage showed her with the dog but denied engaging in prohibited conduct.

According to investigators, Nummerdor claimed she had only been petting the animal. Officers reportedly described parts of her explanation as contradictory and said she was unable to clarify certain actions shown in the recording.
The allegations remain part of the ongoing criminal case, and the charge does not constitute a conviction.
Arrest and Investigation
Nummerdor was arrested Tuesday and booked into the Charlotte County Jail, according to jail records.
Photos posted on her social media account reportedly show her with her husband, whom she married in 2023, and her two sons.
The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office has been contacted for additional information about the investigation and the animal’s condition.
Authorities have not publicly released further details about the case.
