Scott Wolf has responded to his estranged wife Kelley after she revealed a startling diagnosis and apologized for the painful ordeal that rocked their family.

The “Party of Five” star, 58, offered a surprisingly simple but emotional response after Kelley Wolf publicly opened up about the mental health crisis that sent her life spiraling last year.

His response?

Five red heart emojis.

“❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” Scott wrote beneath Kelley’s emotional Instagram post Friday.

The brief message appeared to signal that, despite their deeply troubled marriage and ongoing divorce, the actor still has compassion for the mother of his three children.

Kelley, 49, broke her silence after spending the past year working with doctors, therapists and psychologists to understand the crisis that dramatically changed her life.

The former “Real World: New Orleans” star said she had been diagnosed with “breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis.”

She described the episode as a “perfect storm” caused by a combination of stress, past trauma, hormonal changes, hallucinogens and prescription medications.

Kelley said the experience left her feeling as though her “brain had been hijacked.”

She also acknowledged that many of the things she said and posted publicly during the crisis were not grounded in reality.

“I am so sorry,” Kelley wrote, addressing Scott and others affected by her behavior.

She described the ordeal as a “nightmare that wouldn’t even fly in a movie script.”

Kelley also took responsibility for the way she behaved during the crisis, admitting that she had become someone she did not recognize.

“I have spent my life believing in love, hope kindness, and compassion,” she wrote. “What I became was the opposite. Cruel. Vicious. Mean.”

A marriage that collapsed in public

The revelation comes more than a year after Scott and Kelley’s marriage began unraveling in an increasingly public and painful fashion.

The couple announced their separation in June 2025 after 21 years of marriage.

Scott later confirmed that he had filed for divorce, calling it “the most difficult decision of my life.”

But the situation quickly became much more serious.

Days after the separation became public, Kelley was placed on a psychiatric hold at a Utah hospital after a friend requested a wellness check.

She subsequently posted a series of disturbing messages and videos online.

Scott was later granted a temporary restraining order as well as temporary custody of their three children.

In August 2025, Kelley was arrested over allegations involving online harassment and doxxing of friends and family members.

She was later admitted to a mental health facility again and placed under a court-ordered involuntary psychiatric hold for at least 60 days following an evaluation.

Kelley says it took a year to understand what happened

Looking back, Kelley acknowledged that she did not immediately understand how serious her condition had become.

“Wow…I have taken about 100 deep breaths to write this,” she began in her emotional statement.

She said it had taken roughly a year for her to recognize what people around her had already seen — that she was not well and needed help.

Her apology appeared to mark a dramatic change in tone after months of public turmoil between the estranged couple.

Scott and Kelley reunite for their children

Despite everything that happened, the pair have shown signs that they are trying to rebuild some form of family relationship.

Earlier this year, Scott and Kelley reunited with their three children for a family outing at Universal Studios Hollywood.

The couple shares sons Jackson, 17, and Miller, 13, and daughter Lucy, 12.

Scott previously described 2025 as the “hardest year of my life.”

But he said he chose to share photos from the family outing because he did not want their family to remain trapped in what he described as an “awful dark place” in the public eye.

“While the work we’re all doing is really the only thing that really matters,” Scott said, “I love all of those four people and all of those four people love each other.”

Now, his five-heart response to Kelley’s apology appears to show that the door to compassion has not been completely closed.

Their marriage may be headed toward divorce — but for Scott, Kelley and their three children, the latest chapter appears to be less about the bitter conflict of the past and more about healing.
