Starring: Vera Farmiga, Patrick Wilson, Taissa Farmiga

In THE NUN 3 (2026), the darkness that once haunted the shadows of the Church begins to rise again—more powerful, more patient, and more vengeful than ever before. Years after the terrifying encounters that nearly destroyed their faith and their lives, Ed and Lorraine Warren believed that the nightmare known as Valak had finally been contained. But evil like that does not simply disappear. It waits. It watches. And eventually… it returns.

Lorraine Warren (Vera Farmiga), gifted with the terrifying ability to see beyond the veil of the living world, begins experiencing visions more violent and disturbing than anything she has faced before. Night after night, she sees glimpses of an ancient monastery buried deep within the mountains of Eastern Europe—a place consumed by darkness and echoing with the whispers of something ancient and unholy. In every vision, one figure stands at the center of the horror: the demonic Nun, Valak, watching her with burning eyes from the shadows of a crumbling chapel.

Meanwhile, the Vatican receives reports of ritualistic murders occurring near an isolated monastery that had been abandoned for centuries. Victims are discovered bearing horrifying marks carved into their skin—symbols of inverted crosses and forbidden sigils linked to ancient demonic rituals. The Church fears that these killings are not random acts of violence, but the opening moves of something far more sinister. Something that may allow a powerful demon to cross fully into the world of the living.

Recognizing the signs of a supernatural threat, the Vatican turns once again to the Warrens. Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson), a dedicated demonologist who has faced evil countless times before, knows that returning to such darkness may cost them everything. But when Lorraine’s visions begin revealing connections to an ancient bloodline believed to be protected by the Church itself, they realize the danger may reach far beyond one haunted monastery.

At the center of this terrifying mystery stands Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga), the young nun who once faced Valak and survived. For years she has tried to leave the trauma behind, dedicating her life to quiet service within the Church. But when the killings begin and whispers of Valak’s return spread across the Vatican, it becomes clear that Irene may hold the key to stopping the demon once and for all.

The journey leads them to the remote monastery from Lorraine’s visions—a place abandoned by the Church long ago after a failed exorcism unleashed horrors no priest could contain. The ancient stone walls are marked with symbols meant to hold evil at bay, yet something inside has already broken those barriers.

As the Warrens and Sister Irene investigate the monastery’s dark history, they uncover a terrifying truth: Valak was never truly defeated. Instead, the demon has been slowly rebuilding its power through forbidden rituals carried out by a secret cult hidden within the Church’s own ranks. Their goal is unthinkable—to complete an ancient ceremony that will permanently tear open the boundary between Hell and Earth.

What begins as an investigation soon becomes a desperate battle against time. Shadows move within the monastery’s corridors. Whispering voices echo through forgotten crypts. And the deeper they descend into the ancient catacombs beneath the chapel, the more it becomes clear that Valak has been waiting for this moment for centuries.

Faith is tested as the Warrens and Sister Irene confront a darkness unlike anything they have faced before. The demon no longer seeks only to haunt—it seeks to claim a sacred bloodline whose destruction would allow it to walk freely in the world of the living.

As the final ritual approaches, the monastery transforms into a terrifying battlefield between faith and corruption, light and shadow, family and sacrifice. The Warrens must rely not only on their knowledge of the supernatural, but on the strength of their bond and their belief that even in the darkest places, hope can still exist.
