Heartbreaking moment Lindsay Clancy’s ex mother-in-law’s ‘sends blink & you’ll miss it touching signal’ to killer mom

THIS is the heartbreaking moment Lindsay Clancy’s former mother-in-law appeared to send a subtle signal of support after taking the stand in her murder trial.
Sue Clancy could be seen walking from the witness box and turning her head toward the defense table, where Lindsay sat beside her attorney.

Sue, Patrick’s mother, described Lindsay as a ‘wonderful mother’ who was ‘very nurturing, very loving’
Sue then gives a subtle nod in their direction as she left the courtroom.
The fleeting gesture came after Sue gave emotional testimony on Tuesday about the 36-year-old mom, who has admitted strangling her three young children but denies murdering them.
Sue, the mother of Lindsay’s ex-husband Patrick Clancy, described her former daughter-in-law as “very nurturing, very loving”.
“She was a wonderful mom. She loved her children, all of them very, very much,” she told jurors.
Sue, who is also a labor and delivery nurse, recalled how Lindsay had turned to her for support as she struggled with her mental health before the children’s deaths.
She said she contacted colleagues who ran a clinic for women suffering postpartum difficulties and recommended a nurse practitioner to Lindsay.
But her testimony took a tense turn during cross-examination when Plymouth County Assistant District Attorney Shanan Buckingham questioned Sue about her Catholic faith.
Buckingham asked whether she was an active member of the Catholic church before following up: “So, you’re aware that murder is considered a mortal sin?”
The judge immediately called a sidebar and later instructed jurors not to consider the question for any reason.
It was as Sue left the courtroom following her testimony that she glanced toward Lindsay and defense attorney Kevin Reddington and gave the small nod.
More witnesses were expected to be called as Lindsay’s defense continues presenting its case.
Lindsay is on trial over the deaths of her children Cora, five, Dawson, three, and eight-month-old Callan at the family’s Duxbury, Massachusetts, home on January 24, 2023.

The former labor and delivery nurse has pleaded not guilty to three counts of murder, although she has admitted strangling the children with exercise bands.
Her lawyers argue she was not criminally responsible for their deaths because she was suffering from undiagnosed postpartum psychosis.
Prosecutors are seeking to prove otherwise.
The children were killed while Patrick was out of the house picking up medicine for Cora from CVS and collecting takeout for himself and Lindsay.
Patrick has since remarried and has been among a string of relatives to give evidence during the closely watched trial.
Lindsay’s sister Allison Ozga testified Monday that she had a “gut feeling” something was wrong as Lindsay reportedly struggled with depression, insomnia and suicidal thoughts.
“She was really not feeling like herself. I had this gut feeling that something was off, and that she was really struggling and I asked her if she was safe,” Ozga told jurors.
Their mom Paula Musgrove also recalled receiving a desperate message from Lindsay in October 2022 asking her to come and stay.
“I’m really sick. Something is wrong. I had horrible insomnia all night and I just don’t know how I’m going to get through the day,” Lindsay wrote, according to testimony.
“I started taking the medicine my doctor prescribed for anxiety and I think it’s made things worse.
“It’s just really scary and I don’t want to be alone.”
Musgrove told jurors Lindsay later admitted having thoughts about harming her children.

Lindsay Clancy’s siter Allison Ozga talked about the gut feeling she had that something was wrong while testifying
“I remember her being really nervous. I remember her saying, ‘I just have to tell you guys something,’ and then she told us. She told us that she had thoughts of harming the children.”
She nevertheless described her daughter as a devoted parent before her mental health reportedly spiraled.
“Lindsay was a very loving mother … she was a fun mother, she was always doing things for her kids, she always wanted to be a mother, have many children. I felt it was the best thing that ever happened to her.”
Patrick’s dad Christopher Clancy also testified, recalling that Lindsay appeared “quiet” during family gatherings around Thanksgiving and Christmas.
He revealed that Patrick and Lindsay had even invited him and Sue to dinner on the night of the killings.
The couple already had plans with Sue’s sister, however, and instead arranged to meet another time.
