Lindsay Clancy’s ex-husband Patrick spotted lounging with new wife as heartbreaking trial continues

Lindsay Clancy’s ex-husband was spotted with his new wife in New York, appearing visibly stressed as his former wife continues her highly publicized trial for killing their three children, according to a report.

Patrick Clancy and his second wife, reproductive endocrinologist Dr. Rachel Danis, were seen Thursday evening in an outdoor seating area at a Manhattan apartment building while the murder trial was on a break, TMZ reports.

The two appeared on edge, Patrick Clancy taking multiple phone calls and pacing in circles while Danis sat on a couch nearby and took phone calls of her own, a witness told the outlet.

The couple, who wed in April, spent about 30 minutes on and off their phones, looking stressed as they spoke to each other, the witness said.

His ex, Lindsay Clancy, is facing three counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of their children, Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and Callan, 8 months, who were killed at the family’s home in Duxbury, Massachusetts, in January 2023.

She also tried to kill herself that day by throwing herself out of a second-floor window and is now paralyzed and wheelchair-bound.

Lindsay Clancy’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, wants a jury to find her not guilty by reason of insanity on the grounds she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis.

But prosecutors claim Lindsay Clancy carefully planned the slayings, insisting she couldn’t have been experiencing psychosis at the time.

From the witness stand, Patrick Clancy recounted calling 911 after discovering the bodies of his children, who had been strangled with exercise resistance bands.

Jurors have also heard testimony from her psychiatrists and other medical providers who said they didn’t believe she was in a psychotic state.

After strangling them, Lindsay Clancy told her then-husband in a disturbing phone call from her hospital room that she heard a male voice telling her to “kill her children and kill herself,” psychologist Paul Zeizel said in court.

On the day of the killings, the couple had a mundane text message exchange about Cora’s doctor appointment and their dinner plans for that evening.

“Her urine looked good so nothing going wrong with her kidneys, phew,” Lindsay Clancy texted her husband some time after 8:42 a.m.

“Oh wow. You’re a good momma,” Patrick Clancy gushed in response.
