The Conjuring 4

Rating: 5/5 Final Farewell
The Conjuring universe has been a horror powerhouse for over a decade, but all good things must come to an end. The Conjuring 4: The Last Rites serves as the emotional, terrifying conclusion to the Warrens’ story, and it is a masterpiece of modern horror.
The film takes place in the 1980s. Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) Warren are older, wearier, and ready to retire. But when a young priest comes to them with a case that defies explanation—a possession that involves not just a person, but an entire convent—they know they cannot refuse. It becomes their final, most dangerous case.

Wilson and Farmiga are, as always, perfect. They’ve inhabited these roles for so long that you forget you’re watching actors. The horror is classic Conjuring—slow-burn tension, masterful use of shadow and sound, and jumpscares that actually land. The final act, set in the catacombs beneath the convent, is one of the most terrifying sequences in modern horror history.
The Verdict: A perfect, terrifying, emotional conclusion to one of horror’s greatest franchises. The Warrens deserve their rest. So do we, after this nightmare.
Final Thought: Some cases follow you home. This one follows you to hell.
