Ragnarok 2

Rating: 4.5/5 Thunder and Rock

Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok was a game-changer for the God of Thunder. Ragnarok 2: Twilight of the Gods aims to capture that same magic, and while it doesn’t quite reach the heights of the original, it comes damn close.

The film takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. Thor (Chris Hemsworth) is ruling New Asgard, but peace is boring. When a new threat emerges—a being known as the God Butcher (Dwayne Johnson), who travels the universe killing deities—Thor must embark on a quest across the cosmos to stop him. Along the way, he encounters old friends, new enemies, and a surprising ally: Korg (Taika Waititi), who somehow has his own spin-off subplot.

Hemsworth is as charming as ever, bringing both comedy and heart to the role. Johnson is perfectly cast as the God Butcher—physically imposing, emotionally complex, and genuinely threatening. The film explores themes of grief, legacy, and what it means to be a god in a universe that’s moving on. The action is spectacular, with a fight sequence inside a collapsing star that will leave you breathless.

The Verdict: A worthy sequel that expands Thor’s mythology while delivering the laughs and spectacle we expect. Not quite Ragnarok, but close enough.

Final Thought: Gods die. Legends live forever. Thor is both.
