Hobbs & Shaw 2

Rating: 4/5 Fast and Furious-er
The Fast & Furious spin-off that nobody asked for but everyone loved returns with Hobbs & Shaw 2. Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham are back, trading insults and throwing punches, and this time they’re joined by a surprising new ally: global football icon CR7 (Cristiano Ronaldo).
The film picks up years after the first. Hobbs (Johnson) is now a high-ranking government agent. Shaw (Statham) is… still Shaw. When a new global threat emerges—a cyber-terrorist who can hack any vehicle on the planet—the unlikely duo must team up again. This time, they’re joined by a Portuguese special forces operative (Ronaldo), who brings both athleticism and surprising comedic timing to the role.

Ronaldo is the standout. He doesn’t just cameo; he’s a full member of the team, with a fight scene that showcases his real-life agility. Johnson and Statham have their usual electric chemistry, and the action is as over-the-top as ever. A sequence involving a car chase through the streets of Lisbon, with Ronaldo kicking a bomb through a window, is peak Fast nonsense.
The Verdict: A fun, ridiculous, globe-trotting action sequel. CR7 proves he’s more than just a footballer—he’s a movie star.
Final Thought: Fast cars. Faster insults. Fastest footballer.
