A young man and woman were caught on chilling video calmly sitting on subway tracks in Downtown Manhattan early Sunday before being fatally struck, law-enforcement sources said.

The pair — a 24-year-old man from Sayreville, NJ, and 24-year-old woman from Dayton, NY — were on the rails near the Spring Street station shortly before 3:15 a.m. when a southbound No. 4 train slammed into them, killing both, according to sources and footage posted by The Daily Source.

The clip shows the tragic pair facing the train as it bears down on them.

There is no indication that man and woman had been pushed or fell onto the tracks.

Investigators are looking into whether the pair may have been drinking beforehand, sources said.

The man and woman’s names were being withheld by cops pending family notification.

NYPD cops are later seen at the scene, with one of the bodies covered on the platform at the station, which appears to have been shut down after the incident.

The deaths occurred a little over a week after an MTA worker and mom of three was killed by a train while working on tracks.

Moet McCullum, a 41-year-old construction-flagger, was on southbound tracks at the 161st Street-Yankee Stadium station around 11:30 p.m. Sept. 3 when a D train pulled in and fatally struck her, according to the MTA.

Near-misses also happened throughout the summer.

A track near-tragedy occurred in July when a deranged man pushed an elderly woman onto tracks in Midtown, prompting good Samaritan strap-hangers to rush to her rescue.

The wounded woman, 70, was attacked July 18 on the northbound side of the 57th Street and 7th Avenue station in Manhattan just before 11:30 a.m., the NYPD said.

A month earlier, a 47-year-old nurse was suddenly randomly shoved into the side of an incoming train in The Bronx, leaving him with a bloody concussion.

“I glanced to the right, and I see something white coming towards me,” Josue Romano told The Post afterward.

“It was real fast because when I glanced, it was already coming to me, so I didn’t have time to react, to like kind of get out the way, and that’s when it happened. I got hit.

“He pushed me in the back right in train that was coming in.”
