3 Juveniles Charged After 16-Year-Old Girl Was Found Shot in Head at Rural Mo. Home

Gabbriana Boyster, 16, was found shot dead at her Missouri home on July 11, according to authorities
Three juveniles were arrested and charged following the fatal shooting of a 16-year-old girl at her home in Missouri.
Deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office found Gabbriana Boyster dead from an apparent gunshot wound to the head after responding to her home on the afternoon of Saturday, July 11, according to a press release.

Investigators said they believe the shooting took place the day before and that the teen’s body had been “abandoned for hours.”
Authorities later identified three juveniles they claim were “present at the time of the shooting” and took them into custody, the release states.
In an update shared to Facebook, the sheriff’s office said all three have been charged with abandonment of a corpse. One of the juveniles also faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action.
The juvenile facing the most serious charges remains in the custody of the Jefferson County Juvenile Office, while the other two have been released, authorities said. Further details were not immediately known.

In the wake of her death, a GoFundMe campaign has been created to help Boyster’s family cover memorial expenses.
“Gabby was the kind of person who would always make you smile,” the fundraiser reads. “She was beautiful inside and out, full of laughter, endless giggles, and a smile that made everyone around her feel at home.”
As of July 16, the campaign had raised nearly its entire $20,000 goal.
