A HORROR fire has broken out at a Disneyland ride after a portable phone charger ignited and sparked the blaze.

Terrifying footage showed plumes of smoke filling a room packed with panicked bystanders on the “It’s a Small World” ride in California.

Frantic cast members were seen racing around the attraction trying to respond to the fire.

One dressed up employee was seen using a fire extinguisher to battle a growing inferno over ride boats inside the “Magic Kingdom”.

Social media users who recorded and shared shocking clips of the blaze claimed it was sparked by a portable phone charger.

One TikTok user alleged that the device, not the attraction, was responsible for the fire.

They said: “This was a guest’s portable charger exploding – not Disney or the ride. You can blame them for a lot but not this one…”

Another user who said their family was in the room at the time of the blaze alleged that a child had placed a bag containing a new magnetic portable charger between their legs before it seemingly set alight.

Someone who identified themselves as a Disney cast member backed up the account.

They claimed the ride itself was not damaged, and wrote: “This is correct. SW CM here! Everyone is okay, including the ride itself.”

Disney has not publicly confirmed the cause of the reported fire.

It comes after Disneyland was rocked by a dramatic fire in April 2025.

Fire crews rushed to the scene after a blaze broke out on the upper levels of the Pixar Pals parking garage at the Anaheim resort.

Local emergency services quickly traced the flames back to a Toyota RAV4 that had caught fire.

The inferno spread to several nearby vehicles before it was brought under control.

“When units arrived, they found the fire had spread to two or three additional vehicles,” a fire department spokesperson told the Los Angeles Times.

Anaheim police Sgt. Jacob Gallacher confirmed: “The fire spread to several other vehicles, but was quickly extinguished.”

Social media lit up with photos and videos showing flames engulfing one car as smoke billowed ominously above the resort.
