‘Harry Potter’ Star Jessie Cave Reveals She Earned More From OnlyFans Than From Acting

Jessie Cave, the actress who played Lavender Brown in the final three Harry Potter films, has revealed that her OnlyFans account has earned her more money in a year than her entire acting career.

Cave, 39, told The Times that joining the platform had become a major source of income after she struggled to find enough acting work.

“I’ve earned more, easily, than my entire acting career within one year,” she said.

Cave joined OnlyFans in 2025 and initially expected the venture to be temporary. She said she once made £15,000 — more than $20,000 — in a single day.

She charges subscribers $6 a month but makes additional income through paid messages and other content.

“I thought I’d make five grand, be on it for a few months and it would buy me time to work out what we’re going to do,” Cave said. “But it’s now been over a year and a half and it’s genuinely saved our lives.”

The actress said she had reached a point of severe financial pressure after struggling to secure acting auditions. With four children and childcare costs, she said taking a conventional job was not financially practical.

“I had a breakdown and I thought, that’s it with acting, I give up. But also we have no money,” she recalled.

Cave said much of her OnlyFans content centers on hair, including material created for people with a hair fetish. She also occasionally dresses as Lavender Brown for fans.

“My rule is the hair is the main character,” she said, describing the content as highly niche and emphasizing that she remains fully clothed.

The actress said the experience has also changed how she feels about herself after years of feeling overlooked.

“For so long I’ve just been this quirky figure,” she said. “After having four kids and feeling invisible for so long that was really appealing to me.”

Cave has continued to work in entertainment while using the platform as an additional source of income, turning what began as a short-term financial solution into a surprisingly successful venture.
