Lindsay Clancy Trial: Evidence Photos Show Bloodied Knife and Medication Items at Scene
Jurors in the Lindsay Clancy trial were shown disturbing evidence photos Monday, including images from the scene and photographs documenting Clancy’s condition after a serious incident that left her with permanent injuries.
Clancy appeared emotional in court as her defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, presented photographs taken following the events of January 24, 2023.
Some of the images showed Clancy in a hospital bed, attached to medical equipment and wearing a neck brace. Other photographs showed injuries to her wrists and neck after she reportedly jumped from a second-story window.

The defense also presented photographs from inside the home where Clancy’s three children were found.
One image showed a bloodied kitchen knife next to a cup bearing the phrase, “Because kids.” Reddington told jurors that white residue visible inside the cup was allegedly from medication that had been crushed.
A bottle of sleep medication and a sleep-aid spray were also visible on a nearby nightstand. According to the defense attorney, Clancy had reportedly struggled with severe sleep problems for months.
Another photograph shown to jurors depicted blood on the floor of a bedroom.
The evidence was presented as part of the defense’s broader argument regarding Clancy’s mental state leading up to the deaths of her three children.
Clancy’s attorneys have argued that she was experiencing postpartum psychosis and severe mental health difficulties at the time of the incident. Prosecutors, however, have argued that she was not experiencing psychosis and that her actions were intentional.
The case has drawn significant attention as both sides present their evidence and competing accounts of Clancy’s mental state.

The trial is ongoing, and jurors are expected to hear additional testimony and review further evidence before reaching a verdict.
