A MOTHER has been arrested after she allegedly posted a video on Instagram of her pouring hot wax on her kids.

Meliza Campos-Sanchez, 26, allegedly recorded herself pouring hot candle wax onto her two daughters’ hands and lighting a fire in her kitchen in her Miami, Florida home.

Campos-Sanchez was arrested and charged with arson and child abuse

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a home in Miami on Sunday after a report of a kitchen fire, and later determined that the blaze had been set intentionally, according to arrest affidavits obtained by The U.S. Sun.

Campos-Sanchez was identified at the home by police and then transported to a local hospital for an involuntary psychiatric evaluation.

Soon after she was transported, officials learned she allegedly posted two videos on her Instagram account with over 50,000 followers, where one showed her using lit candles to pour hot melted candle wax onto her leg.

She was then allegedly seen in the video pouring the hot wax onto her three-year-old and six-year-old daughters’ hands, telling them “not to be scared.”

In the second video she posted, Campos-Sanchez appeared to be wearing a silver mask, burgundy dress and underwear as she sang in her kitchen, “dancing seductively, holding a red wand lighter,” the affidavit said.

She then allegedly grabbed two items of clothes, dropped them to the kitchen floor and used a clear plastic condiment bottle to squeeze a liquid – believed to be rubbing alcohol – onto the clothes before using the lighter to ignite them.

Police said “a large flash” of an orange flame could then be seen burning on the floor as the 26-year-old allegedly threw a glass coffee mug into the blaze.

“While the flames are still burning, the defendant continues dancing on the kitchen floor while exposing her underwear,” the affidavit alleged.

The videos were still on her Instagram as of Wednesday morning, where one of her daughters could be heard yelling “No” as she tried to pour the wax on her hand.

The older girl stood with her arms crossed as Campos-Sanchez appeared to drip wax onto her youngest daughter’s palm.

In the caption, translated from Spanish to English, she wrote about how no one touches her daughters, adding “do not trust even the fathers of your daughters.”

In the video of her dancing, Campos-Sanchez appeared to address her husband, writing, “On day one, I told you, ‘See you in court,’” and “You ruined your life. Because your daughters will forget you.”

“I have children that no one, no one will ever take care of like I do,” she wrote.

Campos-Sanchez’s husband, Yusniel Cue, told police that they had been having marital issues.

Officials alleged the woman cleaned up before the fire rescue team arrived, noting they found remnants of fire-damaged clothing in her trash can along with a polaroid photo of Campos-Sanchez being carried by her husband.

Cue said he was staying with his parents for the past week while Campos-Sanchez was at their home with the two children.

Cue said he rushed over to the house after one of his wife’s friends called him and told him about the Instagram posts.

He told police that his wife tried to commit suicide a week prior and that he called the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office but “was not allowed to take his children from the home,” citing past case numbers.

Investigators spoke with the eldest daughter who said she and her sister were in the laundry room near the kitchen after they ate lunch when they witnessed their mom allegedly set the fire.

She said her mom used a bowl of water to extinguish the flames and then described how Campos-Sanchez poured wax on her, herself and her sister.

Her husband told police that they have been having marital issues

The husband raised concerns to police about an Amazon package that Campos-Sanchez had delivered to the house containing a rope, which “he believed she had plans to use in another attempt to end her life,” the affidavit said.

The two girls were placed in his custody while Campos-Sanchez was transported to the hospital, the affidavit said.

Campos-Sanchez was discharged from the hospital on Monday afternoon and charged by police with one count of first-degree arson and one count of child abuse.

She has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is being held without bond.

Campos-Sanchez has been ordered to stay away from her two children.
