THE mom of 16 accused of keeping her children in squalor has appeared in court with what appeared to be a prominent baby bump.

Elizabeth Siders, 33, faced a judge on Wednesday over bombshell allegations that she and her husband sexually abused a minor who was not one of their children.

Wearing orange prison clothing, Siders was seen holding her stomach as she appeared for her arraignment in Ohio.

She pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual battery and two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, charges which are separate from the child endangerment case against her.

The alleged sexual offenses involve a minor who was not one of Siders’ 16 children.

Authorities allege Siders and her husband, Gary Siders Jr., 36, engaged in sexual conduct with the minor between January and September 2022.

The alleged victim was more than 10 years younger than the couple at the time, according to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office.

Prosecutors asked for Siders’ bond to be set at $250,000 during Wednesday’s hearing at Vinton County Courthouse as she remains behind bars.

A judge has yet to set the amount.

Siders has already been held on a $300,000 bond over the separate child endangerment case.

Her husband was hit with an additional $250,000 bond when he pleaded not guilty to the same four sex charges last month, taking his combined bond to $550,000.

The latest allegations are part of a sprawling investigation that ultimately led cops to the family’s so-called “house of horrors” in Hamden.

The investigation began in December 2025 when the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation’s Special Victims Unit began probing allegations that two children had been sexually abused.

That initial investigation led to charges against two other men, Josh Saunders, 23, and Brandon Henderson Sr., 40.

Saunders was later indicted on three counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition.

Henderson was indicted on 21 counts, including sexual battery, gross sexual imposition, and child endangerment.

Information uncovered during that investigation prompted authorities to open a second probe in March into allegations of unlawful sexual conduct with another minor.

That investigation eventually led authorities to Gary Jr. and Elizabeth.

Cops descended on the couple’s home on June 30 while executing a search warrant connected to the sex abuse investigation.

But once inside, authorities made another shocking discovery – the couple’s 16 children allegedly living in appalling conditions.

The children, who ranged in age from 18 months to 18 years, were allegedly kept in deplorable conditions inside the rural property.

Investigators alleged many of the children had been largely confined to a cramped room contaminated with human waste, while some had limited ability to communicate.

Several required hospital treatment after being removed from the property.

Vinton County Sheriff Ryan Cain previously described some of the children as appearing almost “feral” and said the conditions were among the worst his office had encountered.

It later emerged that the couple had also taken in an additional child who was not biologically theirs.

Siders, her husband and his parents, Gary Siders Sr. and Christina Siders, were all arrested following the discovery.

Elizabeth and Gary Jr. have since each been indicted on 19 counts of child endangerment, including felony and misdemeanor charges.

The couple has pleaded not guilty.

Siders’ attorney, Thomas Stolley, previously sought to have her released from jail, arguing she had no criminal history and wanted to be reunited with her children.

Prosecutors opposed the request, arguing Siders could pose a flight risk and a potential risk to the alleged victims.

Stolley also successfully requested that Siders undergo mental health evaluations to determine whether she is competent to stand trial and whether she was legally insane at the time of the alleged offenses.

Her father-in-law, Gary Sr., 73, was meanwhile found incompetent to stand trial following his own court-ordered evaluation.

His evaluator concluded his condition was “not restorable,” potentially paving the way for the charges against him to eventually be dismissed.

The criminal investigations surrounding the family remain ongoing.
