An Indiana teacher accused of sexually abusing underage students has officially ended her marriage as she remains behind bars awaiting trial in a case that has shocked her community.

Brittany Fortinberry, 33, and her husband, Nicholas Fortinberry, finalized their divorce Monday, more than a year after he first filed to end the marriage, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.

The divorce marks another dramatic turn in the downfall of the former Indiana math teacher, who is facing 47 criminal charges stemming from allegations involving multiple minors.

Fortinberry has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

According to the divorce settlement, Fortinberry will keep her clothing, shoes and makeup, while Nicholas will receive the couple’s 2022 Chrysler Pacifica and Toyota 4Runner.
