JURORS have ended their first day of deliberations without reaching a verdict in Lindsay Clancy’s bombshell murder trial.

The nine-woman, three-man panel was dismissed on Thursday afternoon and will return to Plymouth Superior Court in Massachusetts on Friday morning to continue weighing Clancy’s fate.

Jurors began deliberating earlier on Thursday after prosecutors ended the five-week trial with a stark final appeal, “She is guilty.”

Prosecutor Jennifer Sprague told the panel Clancy knew right from wrong when she killed her three young children, ending her closing argument by saying jurors could reach that conclusion “to a moral certainty.”

Defense attorney Kevin Reddington spoke first, using family photos, screenshots and Clancy’s medical history as he argued she was suffering from psychosis and should not be held criminally responsible.

“This young lady is not guilty of the killing of her children because she was suffering from a disease and defect,” Reddington told jurors before resting the defense’s case.

Sprague then countered that there was “no dispute” Clancy sufffered from mental illness, but argued that did not mean she was unable to understand her actions were wrong.

She pointed to what prosecutors described as planning before the killings, including Clancy checking how long husband Patrick would be away while picking up takeout and medication.

The closings capped atrial featuring 85 witnesses and weeks of sharply conflicting testimony over Clancy’s mental state.

Clancy, 36, has admitted killing five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson and eight-month-old Callan inside the family’s Duxbury home on January 24, 2023.

Reddington has argued Clancy was suffering from severe mental illness and postpartum psychosis, while prosecutors maintain she understood right from wrong and was capable of making deliberate choices.
