JOHN CARTER 2

JOHN CARTER 2 (2026)
Starring: Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins
More than a decade has passed since John Carter first stepped onto the red sands of Barsoom and changed the fate of an entire world. In JOHN CARTER 2 (2026), the legendary Earth-born warrior returns to a planet that is once again standing on the edge of extinction. Though time has moved forward, the fragile peace he helped build among the tribes and cities of Barsoom has begun to fracture, and dark forces that once operated in secrecy are finally revealing their true ambitions.
John Carter (Taylor Kitsch) has long lived between two worlds—an Earth he was born to and a Mars he came to love as his true home. For years he believed that the mysterious events that first brought him to Barsoom were nothing more than fate. But when strange disturbances begin spreading across the planet, he learns a terrifying truth: his arrival was never an accident. It was part of a much older plan orchestrated by the secretive Therns, an ancient order that has manipulated civilizations across the solar system for centuries.

Now, those same Therns have uncovered a forbidden technology buried deep beneath the deserts of Barsoom—an ancient device capable of harvesting the very life force of a planet. Powered by lost Martian science older than the great cities themselves, the weapon threatens not only Mars but Earth as well. If activated, it will drain the energy of entire worlds, leaving them lifeless husks drifting through space.
At the heart of this rising storm stands Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins), the brilliant princess of Helium and one of Barsoom’s most visionary leaders. Determined to protect her world, she begins investigating the growing influence of a dangerous faction known as the First Born. These powerful beings, long believed to be guardians of ancient Martian knowledge, have splintered into rival groups—some seeking to preserve Barsoom, others determined to control its future through domination.

When Dejah Thoris is captured by a rogue faction of the First Born who intend to use her knowledge to unlock the ancient weapon, the fragile balance of Barsoom collapses. For John Carter, the mission becomes deeply personal. To save the woman he loves and the planet that gave him a second life, he must once again become the warrior Barsoom remembers.
But this time, the enemy is greater than any army.
Carter quickly realizes that victory will require something far more difficult than a single battle. The divided tribes of Barsoom must unite once again. The proud city of Helium, the fierce Thark warriors of the desert, and the scattered clans of the dying world must set aside centuries of conflict to face a threat that could erase them all.

The journey takes Carter and his allies across the most breathtaking regions of Barsoom—from the gravity-defying cliffs surrounding the legendary River Iss to hidden sky-cities concealed among the icy poles of the planet. Along the way they encounter ancient ruins filled with forgotten Martian technology, mysterious airship fleets patrolling crimson skies, and creatures that have evolved in the harsh deserts of a dying world.
As the Therns move closer to activating the soul-harvesting weapon, the race to stop them becomes more desperate. Every alliance forged, every battle fought, brings Carter closer to the truth about why he was chosen in the first place. The secret lies not just in his courage, but in his unique connection to both worlds.

The story builds toward a colossal final confrontation where armies of Barsoom clash across vast red deserts while ancient machines awaken beneath the planet’s surface. Airships fill the skies, warriors charge across the dunes, and the fate of two planets rests on whether a man from Earth can once again inspire an entire world to stand together.
At its heart, JOHN CARTER 2 is a story about belonging, sacrifice, and the power of unity in the face of extinction. Carter may have been born on Earth, but the spirit that drives him has become something far greater—something that belongs to Barsoom itself.
