Norway team in hotel catastrophe as they check in to rooms next to BUILDING SITE ahead of quarter final against England

ENGLAND opponents Norway were rocked by a hotel disaster after checking into luxury suites next to a building site.
Superstar striker Erling Haaland and the rest of the squad staged a players’ rebellion and gathered to complain to team bosses after just one night.

Norway checked into the Dalmar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday night

But the squad gathered to complain to Norway FA chiefs after enduring noise and disruption

Erling Haaland’s squad have moved hotels after disruption
They hit out at noise and disruption from a busy road and realised they faced a two-and-a-half mile walk past construction sites to the nearest beach.
An official complaint was made to Fifa this morning and the entire entourage moved out of the Dalmar Hotel in Fort Lauderdale within two-and-a-half hours.
The team was now settling into another hotel at an undisclosed beachside location near Saturday’s 64,478-seat Hard Rock Stadium World Cup quarter-final venue in Miami.
Truls Daehli, the Norway team’s logistics manager, said: “It is brutal having to move but we are satisfied with the new place and everyone is happy now.
“Some people might fear that this will affect the players, but it was the players who wanted this more than anyone else.
“We have strong people in our support team and managed to move in two-and-a-half hours – we have not managed to eat breakfast yet.
“The process of changing hotel is not ideal but we wanted to take action as soon as possible. Having a good atmosphere is most important.”
Officials said the hotel was next to a noisy building site and a busy highway which upset players before the biggest football match in the Scandinavian nation’s history.
Norway players including Fulham’s Oscar Bobb were seen glum-faced as they piled into a lift to leave.
Daeli added: “We are going to stay for a week in Miami and we have now been for six weeks in the United States and we are going to play in the biggest match in Norwegian history.
“We have avoided cabin fever so far and don’t want any risk of it now.
”Fifa have accepted that we must move to another hotel.”
Fifa agreed to pay for 50 rooms plus security at Norway’s new hotel, but the nation’s FA has been obliged to pay extra charges to cover the upgrade demanded by players.
Norway and Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard said of the hotel fiasco: “There were a few things that could have been better, so we made some adjustments.
“It was really just to optimise and be properly prepared for a big match.”
Norway coach Ståle Solbakken said: “Fifa were very willing to help us. It was the overall picture – there were far too many small issues.
“It’s not that you can’t stay there, but we are a team; we need to be together and operate as one unit.”
Solbakken said – apart from the noise – the hotel also lacked meeting rooms big enough for the squad to gather and talk tactics.
Meanwhile, England’s stars have enjoyed two days off with orders to forget football and relax with WAGS, family and friends after their epic Mexico City triumph.
The squad resumed training yesterday and were said to be “relaxed, chilled and focused” at their Kansas City training base.
They will not fly into Miami until Friday morning where they will check into a carefully vetted hotel at an undisclosed location ahead of Saturday’s big game.
Thomas Tuchel’s squad has already acclimatised to playing in the heat and humidity of the city after playing two warm-up games in Florida.
They will finish pre-match preparations at David Beckham’s Inter Miami training complex later on Friday.
England were boosted last night by the return to the camp of midfielder Jordan Henderson – who broke his wrist leaping over an advertising boarding during Mexico celebrations.
The veteran star – a key motivator who is loved and respected by younger England teammates – posted a selfie showing him sitting up in bed with surgeons who repaired the fracture.
He posted: “Surgery done! Now Let’s get ready for the big one Saturday.
“Thank you to all the staff that looked after me at Kansas city orthopaedic institute. Especially the three surgeons who carried out the operation.”
