A terrifying highway crash involving rock band Buckcherry’s tour bus has left one person dead — although every member of the band and their touring crew miraculously escaped unharmed.

The deadly wreck unfolded around 2 a.m. Friday on Interstate 26 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, as the band was traveling between tour stops.

According to reports, the collision happened ahead of Buckcherry’s bus and quickly turned into a multi-vehicle accident.

Authorities later confirmed that one person was killed in the crash.

The victim had reportedly gotten out of a vehicle on the highway following an earlier collision and was subsequently struck by another vehicle. The circumstances surrounding exactly how Buckcherry’s bus became involved in the ensuing wreck were not immediately clear.

The band confirmed the frightening incident in a statement, but offered a major sigh of relief for fans.

“We are extremely grateful to report that all members of Buckcherry and our touring crew are safe and unharmed,” the group said.

But the band also acknowledged the heartbreaking loss of life.

“Tragically, authorities have confirmed that the collision that occurred ahead of our bus resulted in a fatality,” the statement continued, as the musicians expressed their “deepest condolences” to the victim’s family and loved ones.

The crash occurred as Buckcherry was traveling following its performance at the Orange Peel in Asheville, North Carolina, as part of the group’s ongoing “Roar Like Thunder” Tour.

The tour is named after the band’s 2025 studio album.

Despite the devastating crash, Buckcherry said its next scheduled performance would go ahead as planned.

The group was expected to perform at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Saturday, with no other changes announced to the tour schedule.

Buckcherry currently features frontman Josh Todd alongside Stevie Dacanay, Billy Rowe, Kelly LeMieux and Francis Ruiz.

The band has been on the road promoting its 11th studio album, “Roar Like Thunder,” which was released in June 2025.
