Police have found the bodies of two missing Russian siblings buried in bushes in the Sak Maew forest in Bang Lamung district of Chon Buri.

Nearby, police also discovered the bodies of three members of a family, who are believed to have been murdered and buried in the same forest.

Two former convicts in custody, identified only as “Pong” and “Thong”, led Chon Buri police to the site on Friday night to search for the missing Russian siblings, 22-year-old Diana Nazimova and her 17-year-old brother, Roman.

Workers excavated a site covered with dried grass. At a depth of about one metre, they found the two bodies. One, believed to be Roman, had apparent gunshot wounds to the hand and abdomen, while the other, believed to be Diana, bore signs of severe physical assault.

The bodies were exhumed and sent to a local hospital for autopsies. The siblings had been missing since they left their rented home on a motorcycle on Sunday morning.

The two suspects then led police to another burial site nearby, where the bodies of a family of three, who had been missing since July 7, were found.

Police said they are searching for two more suspects, identified only as “Ball” and “Fluke”, who are allegedly involved in the murders of the family members—a father, mother and child.

Police also said that “Pong” allegedly disguised himself as a police officer when approaching the victims.

In the case of the Russian siblings, investigators said he stopped the siblings’ rented motorcycle while posing as a police officer and attempted to steal it. When Roman resisted, he was allegedly shot. Police said “Pong” then allegedly beat Diana to death.

The stolen motorcycle was later buried in an old cemetery in Bang Lamung district in an apparent attempt to conceal the crime.
