She Gave Birth to a Dragon – The Mother’s Monster 2 Episode 2

The clinking of iron chains shattered under the scorching heat.

Seeing the shimmering rose-quartz scales glowing upon the cliff face, the two notorious dragon hunters—Kaelen, a battle-scarred mercenary, and Vane, a scholar fluent in ancient tongues—could not contain their greed. They raised their fire-lances and hurled heavy black-steel chain harpoons toward the rocky ledge.

However, they had deeply underestimated the creature before them.

Ember spread her massive wings, blocking out the fading twilight. She was no longer the helpless hatchling of the past. A deafening roar shook the entire ravine. From Ember’s throat, a volley of brilliant pink dragon fire—of heat so intense it liquefied the surrounding grey crag—erupted, sweeping across the earth. The rain of fire forced the two hunters into a desperate retreat, abandoning their weapons as they melted into ash.

Retreating to a cave at the base of the mountain, Kaelen stared bitterly at his heat-warped fire-lance. But Vane, rather than feeling terrified, was consumed by curiosity. That pink flame held no bloodthirsty malice; it was purely a warning.

“It didn’t want to kill us,” Vane whispered, flipping open an old leather-bound journal. “It’s protecting something.”

The next morning, the two hunters began investigating the origins of the legendary dragon. Their search led them to an ancient cave concealed by thick moss. Carved onto the dust-laden rock walls were crude yet deeply affectionate drawings: a woman holding hands with a small pink dragon, sharing food, and practicing flight together by a campfire.

“A dragon… raised by a human?” Kaelen muttered in disbelief. “That’s impossible!”

Determined to uncover the truth, the two hunters followed a winding trail down to a secluded village nestled at the foot of the mountain. The village was peaceful, seemingly untouched by the chaos of the outside world.

At the village square, they came across a young boy playing with a wooden dragon toy painted in pink. When Vane pressed him for information about the dragon on the mountain, the boy looked up, momentarily puzzled, before offering a bright smile:

“Are you mister-hunters looking for the Pink Dragon? My great-grandfather talks about her all the time! He says that a long time ago, that dragon was like a baby to someone from our village!”

The boy guided the two hunters to an ancient wooden cabin tucked away on the village edge—a house shaded by cool trees and scented with gentle herbs.

Stepping through the weathered wooden doorway, Kaelen and Vane came face-to-face with a grizzled old protector, his deep, contemplative eyes holding the entire history of the mountain range. He slowly looked up at the two strangers bearing the aura of greed and curiosity.

“You came for Ember, didn’t you?” The old man’s voice rumbled like rolling stones, his hand tightening around his wooden staff. “I am the last living soul who remembers the woman who raised her… and I won’t let anyone lay a finger on her child.”

As night fell, the grandest secret regarding Ember’s late mother and the unbreakable bond between human and dragon was finally about to be unveiled.
