Jenny Lupton, a beloved Southwest Airlines flight attendant and mother from Oklahoma, has died after being found near a dumpster at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki, where she was staying during a layover.

The 50-year-old had spent 23 years working as a flight attendant and was remembered by her family and friends as someone who could instantly brighten a room.

According to reports, Lupton appeared to have fallen from the 24th floor of the hotel. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.

For her family, however, the tragedy has raised painful questions. Her sister, Tresa Lupton, said they do not believe Jenny intentionally ended her life and are hoping investigators can determine exactly what happened.

Just hours before her death, Jenny had reportedly been enjoying her time in Hawaii with a fellow flight attendant. She had also recently gotten a new tattoo and was excited about having it completed after returning home.

She leaves behind her 15-year-old son, Kaleb, as well as a family who says they are struggling to understand how someone they loved so deeply could be gone so suddenly.

Her niece Hannah, who followed in Jenny’s footsteps and became a flight attendant herself, remembered her as “the light of every party” and someone whose personality was impossible to forget.

Jenny loved Hawaii, traveling, gardening and spending time with the people closest to her. Her family says she had plans for the future, including traveling and living alongside her sister.

Now, instead of planning their next journey together, her loved ones are left waiting for answers.

For the people who knew Jenny, she was more than a flight attendant. She was a mother, sister, aunt, friend and a woman whose presence made every room feel brighter.

Her family says they simply want to know what happened to the woman they loved.
