A TROUBLING new sighting has blown apart the timeline surrounding the disappearance of Kayla Boisvert after she was captured alive days after vanishing from a packed music festival.

The 28-year-old paramedic was initially last seen at about 2:15 am on Monday at Shambhala, but the newly uncovered footage places her miles away more than two days later.

A resident’s security camera caught Kayla at a property at about 8:30 pm on Wednesday

A surveillance camera recorded Kayla near Nelway at about 8:30 pm on Wednesday carrying a blue-and-white cooler and several belongings before walking away from the property.

The footage was recorded in the Nelway area of British Columbia, about 7 miles south of the Shambhala Music Festival grounds and near the US-Canada border.

The footage appeared to show her taking a blue-and-white cooler before walking away with several belongings.

Social media users quickly spotted a resemblance to Kayla after the property owner shared the images online.

Salmo RCMP later confirmed the woman in the footage was the missing 28-year-old and released the pictures to the public, Castanet reported.

“Investigators are releasing photos from that sighting to provide the public with updated images of what Kayla was wearing, in the hope of locating her,” Sgt Vanessa Munn said.

Police are now trying to establish how Kayla travelled about seven miles from the festival site to the property.

“Investigators are continuing to work to determine how Kayla travelled to the location south of Salmo and to establish her movements following the sighting,” Munn added.

The RCMP missing-person appeal remained active on Friday morning as the search for Kayla continued.

Kayla, a paramedic from Trenton, Ontario, was previously last seen at about 2:15 am on Monday at the four-day electronic music festival.

She had travelled across Canada for the sold-out event, which was held on farmland beside the Salmo River from July 24 to July 27.

Her twin sister Dianna Boisvert previously revealed that Kayla tried to call her twice shortly after she was last seen.

“I was sleeping and called her back instantly when I realized that she called,” Dianna told CBC News.

But the calls went straight to voicemail and Kayla had left no message explaining why she had tried to reach her.

“That was unnerving,” Dianna said.

Dianna then spent the following day searching social media and contacting people who knew her sister at the festival.

Kayla’s brother Ethan Boisvert claimed the friends who were supposed to travel with her had left without her.

“Her friends left her,” he told the New York Post.

“Her ride that was supposed to take her to the airport, they just left without her.”

It remains unclear why the group departed or whether they knew she had not returned when they left.

Kayla’s friend Ming Liu said she was with his group near the Pagoda stage at the beginning of Kai Wachi’s set.

They started heading toward the Village stage for Ganja White Night at around 1 am.

Liu said the last text he received from Kayla arrived at about 3 am, but she never returned to her campsite.

He contacted hospitals and checked with festival security, medical crews and the sanctuary, but none had seen her.

Liu described Kayla as an experienced and cautious festivalgoer who carried two first-aid kits.

“Even if her phone died, even if she lost her phone, even if she got lost, she would know how to seek help,” he said.

“It’s abnormal.”

Dianna described her sister as an “incredibly strong person,” an accomplished deadlifter and an academic who studied at McMaster University.

Kayla frequently works as a paramedic at festivals and other large gatherings, although she attended Shambhala as a guest.

“She’s very good at her job and she enjoys helping people,” Ethan said.

“She’s very family oriented. She’s a great person.”

Police described Kayla as six feet tall with brown eyes, black hair and long blonde braids.

She was wearing a blue head scarf, an oversized graphic T-shirt and multicoloured scarves when she was last seen at the festival.

Festival organizers said they were working with police and public safety agencies to support the search.

More than 21,000 artists, employees and ticket holders were involved in this year’s Shambhala event.

A  GoFundMe set up to bring Kayla’s family from Ontario to British Columbia raised more than $20,000 Canadian before donations were paused.

“We want our sister, daughter, friend home safe,” Dianna said.
