Woman Comes Home To Find A Puppy Tied To Tree — Then She Checks Ring Camera

She’d been alone in the rain for hours.
Keish Ridner came home from work one day in mid-June, tired and ready to rest. Instead, she saw a puppy tied to a tree near her house and sprang into action.

The sweet puppy was so excited to see Ridner and immediately began trying to run to her. A Ring camera showed the pup had been tied up in the rain for nearly five hours, and she was more than ready to be rescued.
Unfortunately, Ridner has seen dogs abandoned on the streets of Detroit before and has rescued quite a few, so this situation wasn’t new to her. She saw that the pup had a condition called cherry eye and assumed that was probably why she was left there. Without hesitating, Ridner untied the puppy and brought her inside.

Ridner already had eight animals of her own at home, and the new puppy was so excited to meet them all. She ran around the yard with her new siblings and fit right in, and Ridner wondered if her animal count was about to permanently change to nine.
After taking her to the vet and getting her checked out, Ridner scheduled a surgery for the pup to get her cherry eye fixed. In the meantime, the pup thrived as she enjoyed having a safe and loving home for maybe the very first time.

“Ms. Girl has been learning and playing so much while we wait for her surgery date,” Ridner wrote on TikTok.
Ridner hasn’t fully decided whether or not she’s keeping the pup, but she’s leaning towards adopting her. Either way, she’s committed to making sure she’s happy and healthy for the next stage of her life.
Ridner had no idea when she came home from work that day that she was about to rescue another animal, and she’s so glad she was in the right place at the right time.
