Just days after the country icon’s passing, her estate officially announced DOLLYFEST: The Celebration of a Lifetime, a star-studded festival that will take place across two consecutive weekends in 2027 in Nashville, Tennessee, and London, England. The event fulfills a dream that Parton had personally begun planning before her death.

Dolly’s Dream Becomes Reality

According to her longtime manager Danny Nozell, DollyFest was originally conceived as a massive multi-artist celebration for Parton’s 80th birthday in January 2026.

The venue had been booked, performers were being contacted and the announcement was nearly ready. However, Parton’s declining health forced the plans to be postponed before she was later diagnosed with cancer.

Now, her estate says the festival will move forward exactly as Dolly envisioned—only as a tribute to her extraordinary life rather than a birthday celebration.

“What Dolly started, we will ensure is brought to life,” Nozell said.

Nashville and London to Host the Celebration

Rather than holding a single event, DollyFest will unfold over two weekends on two continents, reflecting Parton’s worldwide influence.

Organizers describe it as a “global double-day, double-weekend, double-continent party of a lifetime,” bringing together fans and artists from across the world to celebrate her music, philanthropy and unforgettable personality.

No Public Funeral—By Her Own Choice

Following Dolly Parton’s death at age 80, her family held a private funeral ceremony attended only by close relatives.
