Lindsay Clancy’s ex Patrick, his new wife hold hands as murder trial grips the nation

Lindsay Clancy’s ex-husband was seen holding hands and smiling with his new wife in the Big Apple earlier this week while his former spouse awaited a verdict in her high-profile murder trial.

Patrick Clancy and his wife, infertility specialist Rachel Danis, were photographed walking together, hand in hand Wednesday.

He was snapped sporting a red Patagonia jacket with sneakers, while she wore a white jacket with black leggings as they strolled through New York.

The couple was spotted out and about as the murder trial against Patrick’s ex-wife Lindsay Clancy entered its final stages.

Defendant Lindsay Clancy watches jurors enter the courtroom as the jury resumes deliberations in Plymouth Superior Court in Plymouth, Massachusetts, on Friday.

Lindsay Clancy, meanwhile, awaited a verdict in Plymouth, Massachusetts, in her trial for the alleged murder of the former couple’s three young children.

The 12-person jury, made up of nine women and three men, was deliberating whether to convict the 36-year-old mother of fatally strangling her kids, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, on Jan. 24, 2023.

Defense argued Lindsay Clancy was in the throes of postpartum psychosis, worsened by a myriad of prescription medications — while prosecutors countered that she was in her right mind and had carefully planned the killings.

The grueling trial kicked off with Patrick Clancy testifying — telling the jury that his ex-wife repeatedly sought help for her worsening mental state in the months leading up to the killings.

He hauntingly recounted how he returned to the family home in Duxbury to find Lindsay Clancy in the backyard after a suicide attempt, before discovering his three kids unresponsive in the basement.

In a harrowing 911 call played to the jury, Patrick Clancy could be heard screaming: “She killed the kids.”

However, following five weeks of testimony, the panel endured seven days of deliberation before Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial.

The jury sent a total of three notes indicating they were deadlocked, triggering Sullivan to send them back to deliberate more and then invoke the “Tuey-Rodriguez” charge, before eventually declaring a mistrial Friday afternoon.

Patrick Clancy’s attorney, David Meier, issued a statement following the mistrial decision, saying his client is “grateful to the Court and to the jurors for their hard work, their commitment, and their perseverance.”

“The loss of Patrick’s children is something from which he will never recover and from which there will never be closure,” it read. “The prospect of reliving this tragedy through another trial is extraordinarily painful — for Patrick, for his family, and for all us.”
