THE BODY of a missing grandmother has been found stuffed inside a suitcase that was dumped in a fire station parking lot.

Lorretta M Moody, 68, from Wichita, Kansas, had been reported missing just after 1:30am on September 16, and her body found just hours later around 6pm.

Two people are being spoken to by investigators but are not considered suspects after being tracked down as those who left the suitcase at the fire station

The suitcase was dumped by two people in the parking lot of Wichita Fire Station 22, investigators said.

While a cause of death has not been revealed, it has been ruled a homicide, The Wichita Eagle reported.

When Lorretta was reported missing, she had last been seen in the 2400 block of South Mosley, less than a mile from where her body was found.

Her family described her as 4 feet, 11 inches and weighing 70 pounds or less.

They explained in a Facebook post that she could barely walk on her own and should be on oxygen at all times.

When she was reported missing, Lorretta was reportedly not using a walking aid or getting any additional oxygen or taking her medications.

Investigators have revealed that the two people who took her body in the suitcase and left it at the fire house are not currently considered as suspects.

“We’re not calling them persons of interest; they’re not suspects,” spokesperson Andrew Ford told the news outlet.

“They’re just people we are talking to.”

Their identities have not been released and it remains unclear how they ended up with the body and how it ended up in a suitcase.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities say there is no apparent threat to the public.

Meanwhile, Lorretta’s family have issued heartbreaking tributes on social media.

“Trying to make sense of the senseless. I’ll miss our conversations every single day,” her granddaughter Angelyna Moody-Fletcher wrote.

“I’ll miss how you’d call me at random times and we’d talk on the phone for hours.

“I only hope you truly know how cherished and loved you were by us all Nama.

“I will never stop talking about you. I will never stop fighting for you. I don’t care what it takes.”

Meanwhile, Lorretta’s sister has vowed to get justice.

“Can’t put into words how much I miss my sister over a very cruel death,” she wrote on Facebook.

“My heart is broken. Rest high, my beautiful angel. We will get justice for you.”
