A beloved Long Island teacher and mother of four suffered a medical emergency moments before her SUV plunged into her family’s backyard pool, according to sources close to the investigation.

Allison Rahmani, 40, died Friday after losing control of her vehicle and driving into the swimming pool at her family’s home in Hewlett, New York.

The horrifying accident initially left investigators searching for answers.

Now, sources say police believe Rahmani experienced some type of medical episode before the crash, causing her to lose control of the SUV.

Authorities do not currently suspect foul play, although the investigation remains ongoing.

Even after the vehicle entered the pool, Rahmani was able to call 911 from inside the SUV.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but the mother of four could not be saved. She died while being transported to the hospital.

The tragedy came just days after Rahmani celebrated her 40th birthday — and on the very day she had been scheduled to leave for a romantic trip to Paris with her husband, Matthew.

Instead of boarding a flight, her grieving family gathered Sunday to say goodbye.

Rahmani was remembered at a funeral service at Boulevard-Riverside Chapels in Hewlett, where her devastated husband delivered an emotional tribute.

Matthew Rahmani, president of the Irving Place Minyan Modern Orthodox Synagogue in Woodmere, honored his wife by reciting “Eshet Chayil,” the traditional Jewish wedding prayer often associated with a groom praising his bride.

He reflected on the couple’s life together, including the difficult early years when they were building their family while living paycheck to paycheck.

Her husband described Allison as the woman who stood beside him through every major turning point in their lives and repeatedly encouraged him to believe in their future.

He also vowed to continue raising their four children and carry on the role she had embraced so completely.

“She nurtured them like delicate plants,” he said, promising that he would “pick up where you left off.”

Rahmani was a math coordinator at the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway, where colleagues remembered her as an educator who cared deeply about her students.

One friend, fellow teacher Shayna Unger, recalled an especially touching example of Rahmani’s compassion.

After a mother at the school died, Rahmani became concerned about the young girls who had suddenly lost someone who would normally help them get ready each morning.

She reportedly transformed part of her classroom into a makeshift beauty salon, complete with brushes, hair products, barrettes and snacks.

Each morning, she would do the girls’ hair before class.

Her goal, friends said, was simple: she wanted the children to feel as normal and cared for as possible despite the devastating loss they had experienced.

Rahmani’s family described her as full of energy, warmth and love.

Her mother, Rachelle Rohde, delivered a heartbreaking eulogy Sunday.

“We are broken,” Rohde told mourners. “We will never be the same.”

She spoke directly to her daughter and assured her grandchildren — Nathan, Jake, Zachary and “Princess Chlo Chlo” — that their mother’s love would always remain with them.

Rahmani’s sister Dana Hess also struggled to comprehend the sudden loss, describing her as “the life of the party” and someone who became an educator because she genuinely loved teaching.

The family had expected to spend this week making memories in Paris.

Instead, they are left mourning a wife, mother, teacher and friend whose life ended in a shocking backyard tragedy.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, but investigators currently believe a medical emergency preceded the SUV plunging into the pool.
