A beloved Long Island teacher and mother of four died in a heartbreaking accident after investigators believe she may have suffered a medical emergency while driving.

Allison Rahmani, 40, lost control of her SUV on Aug. 21 and crashed into the swimming pool at her family’s home in Hewlett, New York.

Authorities said Rahmani was able to call 911 from inside the vehicle, but emergency responders were unable to save her. She later died while being transported to the hospital.

Investigators do not currently suspect foul play and believe a sudden medical episode may have contributed to the tragic crash. The investigation remains ongoing.

Rahmani was remembered by her family, friends and community as a devoted mother, loving wife and dedicated educator.

She worked as a math coordinator at the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway, where she was known for her commitment to her students.

Her death came just as she and her husband, Matthew Rahmani, were preparing for a romantic trip to Paris to celebrate their life together.

At her funeral, Matthew delivered an emotional tribute to his wife, reciting the Jewish prayer “Eshet Chayil” — a traditional blessing honoring a woman’s strength and devotion.

“We are broken,” Allison’s mother, Rachelle Rohde, told mourners. “We will never be the same.”

Friends and loved ones continue to remember Allison as a woman who brought kindness, warmth and love to everyone around her.

She leaves behind a grieving husband, four children and a community mourning a life taken far too soon.
