Haaland has waved goodbye to the USA after Norway’s 2-1 quarterfinal exit against England on Saturday.

He has shared a short message on social media after gaining a huge international following during the tournament.

“Goodbye   It’s been emotional!” Haaland posted on Instagram.

Haaland’s message was accompanied by a selfie from his travels back to Europe.

The Manchester City star was pictured with his iconic long blond hair let down while wearing a backwards cap and sunglasses.

Striker Haaland has gained a huge following in the USA after leading an incredible World Cup run with Norway.

He played a key role as Norway achieved their best-ever World Cup result as they reached the quarterfinals in their first appearance since 1998.

Haaland contributed an impressive seven goals during his five appearances for the side.

Haaland also won fans over by documenting his tournament across his social media platforms.

This fandom has only increased after being snapped carrying a stuffed racoon off the plane in Norway.

Fans have shared their love for Haaland as his American adventure draws to a close.

Now he has backed England to win the World Cup after Norway’s knockout loss.
