THIS is the shocking moment a five-year-old boy dangles from a sixth-floor window and is rescued by a heroic caretaker.

Dramatic footage shows the young boy with his head trapped in window bars at a block of flats in Shuozhou, China.

The Brave An Yilong scales the building to rescue the boy

The child can be seen hanging with his head wedged between the bars as he frantically kicks his legs and desperately tries to pull himself back up.

The courageous property manager, An Yilong, noticed the boy after he spotted residents below holding up a blanket in case the child fell.

He looked up in surprise and saw the five-year-old, who had shockingly been trapped for more than ten minutes.

An sprinted to the sixth-floor flat but nobody answered and he was unable to force the door open.

He quickly climbed out through the seventh-floor window and descended towards the boy.

He bravely gripped the child and held him firmly while firefighters raced to the scene.

A worried An feared the boy was going to fall at any moment as he was trapped up to his ears.

He kicked the grille to check how secure it was and swiftly scaled down to the child.

Less than 30 seconds later, firefighters arrived to free the boy.

A Shuozhou Fire Rescue Brigade spokesperson confirmed that firefighters had attended the incident and said: “Rescuing people is our duty.”

An joined them in lifting the youngster back through the sixth-floor window.

Supportive residents continued holding a blanket below in case the child slipped or fell.

The child was examined by medics and thankfully only suffered minor bruises.

The September 5 incident went viral on Chinese social media with many commending An’s actions.

An said: “I didn’t think about anything else at the time, I just wanted to save the child.”

The boy was left alone in the flat while his mother took his older sibling to a school parents’ meeting.

His family was quickly alerted of the situation by the property management team and rushed home.
