A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy has died from blunt-force trauma to the head after allegedly enduring weeks of horrific abuse inside his own home from his mom and her two lovers, authorities said.

Three adults have been charged with murder in connection to the death of seven-year-old William Michael Evans.

Little William was found dead last Thursday at a property in the Oakley neighborhood of Cincinnati.

He lived there with his mom, Kaitlin Evans, 38, and her two transgender lovers, Nessa Keaney, 23, and Kirby Rankin, 33.

Rankin and Keaney, according to official records, are biological males.

All three adults have been charged with murder.

Hamilton County Coroner Dr. Lakshmi Sammarco revealed disturbing new findings surrounding the case during a press conference in Cincinnati on Tuesday.

She said William suffered fatal blunt-force injuries to his head and had numerous additional injuries covering his body.

There were so many bruises, Sammarco said, that they were impossible to count.

The coroner also revealed that William had suffered an acute fracture to the distal humerus — the lower portion of the upper-arm bone that connects to the elbow.

According to Sammarco, the injury would have required a “fair amount of force.”

Investigators also discovered injuries that left open the possibility William had been sexually assaulted before his death.

Given the circumstances surrounding the case, officials could not rule out sexual assault.

The coroner said William had likely been dead for at least a day before his body was discovered.

Prosecutors said in court last week that evidence indicated William had been subjected to abuse by the three adults for more than two months.

When police officers entered the Oakley home, prosecutors alleged they found the boy inside a closet, where he had been restrained and covered with duct tape.

Investigators said William displayed visible injuries consistent with repeated physical beatings.

He was also allegedly struck in the back of the head, subjected to prolonged water torture and badly burned, according to investigators.

Prosecutors have alleged that the three adults were co-parenting William.

Court records reviewed in connection with the case identify Evans as William’s biological mother. Court records also indicate that Keaney and Rankin are biological males.

Authorities have not identified William’s other biological parent.

According to local media, William was born to Evans and a transgender woman, Tara Ellis, who transitioned when he was four-ears-od.

Ellis then introduced Evans to two friends – Rankin and Keaney.

The mom had already cut off William’s other grandparents after a disagreement.

But last month, Tina and Michael Evans were also told to forget about seeing their beloved grandchild.

Despite the alleged abuse and neglect inside the home, prosecutors claimed the adults managed to take their dog to a veterinarian to receive vaccinations the day before William died.

The case has been described by one detective as among the most disturbing child-abuse investigations he has encountered during his two decades in law enforcement.

Evans’ attorney told the court that his client did not cause her son’s death.

The lawyer claimed one of the other adults was responsible for William’s death, although he did not identify either Keaney or Rankin as the person he was referring to.

However, Evans’ attorney acknowledged that she had failed to save her son and asked the judge to set her bond at $250,000.

Prosecutors sought a substantially higher amount — $1 million on the murder charge and another $500,000 on a child-endangerment charge.

The judge sided with prosecutors and imposed the requested bond.

In an emotional moment during the hearing, William’s other biological parent was allowed to speak to Evans.

The parent, whose identity has not been released, told her: “I trusted you.”

Keaney’s attorney similarly argued that his client did not cause William’s injuries.

Her lawyer said Keaney had allegedly failed to “administer treatment” for injuries that were purportedly inflicted by another person.

The defense requested a $200,000 bond.

Prosecutors opposed the request, arguing that Keaney had failed to alert authorities despite the alleged abuse.

Her bond was ultimately set at $1 million.

Attorneys representing Rankin asked the court to order a mental-health evaluation, citing what they described as “documented serious mental health issues.”

The judge approved the request and ordered Rankin to return to court at the beginning of next month after the evaluation results are available.

A detective involved in the investigation told the court that Rankin had allegedly disclosed her own involvement in the abuse and implicated the other two adults.

Rankin’s bond was set at $1 million for the murder charge, along with an additional $100,000 secured for the child-endangerment charge.

According to investigators, William had also allegedly been kept away from his other biological parent amid what prosecutors described as lies.

The three defendants are scheduled to appear back in court on August 17.

All three are currently being held at the Hamilton County Jail and have reportedly been placed on suicide watch.

“William was the light of our life,” his grandfather Michael Evans said. “We will never get over losing him or stop imagining the pain and terror that he must have endured.”

The investigation into William’s death remains ongoing.
